Our growing firm has an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist to join our team at the Corporate Headquarters in Mankato, Minnesota. At Bolton & Menk we value employee excellence and are committed to recruiting, developing and retaining top talent. As our HR Generalist, you will work with a team of 4 other specialists and perform a variety of HR duties including:
- Performs compliance reporting and administers programs such as Affirmative Action, EEO-1, Environmental Health & Safety, OSHA, Workers Compensation
- Performs safety program coordination, research and compliance; leads the safety steering committee and safety committee
- Administers special programs for contract compliance including drug/alcohol testing and background checks
- Completes benefit and salary surveys, performs market research and analysis
- Provides support to employees and leaders on employment matters
- Develops, implements and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
- Proactively responds to employee issues
- Complete incoming verifications of employment and reference checks
- Coordinate and monitor the employee recognition program
- Partner with Systems Support Specialist in HRIS administration and data verification
- Provide coordination and organization for the Annual Employee Party
- Assists the Talent Management Work Group Leader with HR projects and initiatives

Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in HR or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of HR generalist experience in a variety of functional areas
- Experience with employment law
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field
- 4 years of HR generalist experience in a variety of functional areas
- HR Certification (SHRM or HRCI)
- Experience working in a professional services firm
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems
