With our continued growth, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Licensed Landscape Architect to join our Minnesota or Central Iowa Operations. This position offers the opportunity for you to join a well-established firm with a long history of superior service.
This Landscape Architect/Project Manager, working with a team of Engineers, Planners, and Technicians is responsible for the planning, development and completion of landscape architecture projects.
Duties include daily management of landscape architecture projects, project coordination, plan and organize project assignments, staff supervision, mentoring and training, assisting client contact engineers with maintenance of current landscape architecture relationships, business development and marketing of landscape architecture services, management of construction phase services, and providing technical advice for landscape architecture services.
Must possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply professional knowledge to a variety of projects. In addition, must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff.
Education and Experience:
- The selected candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed Professional Landscape Architect.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Landscape Architecture.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated working knowledge of L.A. principles
- Experience in proactive and reactive marketing
- Attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong quality assurance and commitment to task
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize oneself to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work within a team atmosphere
- Must possess a valid driver’s license. Limited travel to project sites, agencies and other offices is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with directly with municipal clients
- GIS experience
