We are looking for an experienced HR team member to join our firm as a Staffing and Recruiting Specialist. This is a NEW POSITION for 2015! The staffing and recruitment specialist leads the talent acquisition activities for the HR Department in providing superior internal customer service to the business partners and managers and strong public relations that accomplishes our vision of being the employer of choice. We would like this position to be based out of the Corporate Headquarters in Mankato, MN but are open to moving the position to our office in Burnsville, MN after six months of employment.

Education and Experience:

  • The selected candidate will have an Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, or equivalent, and
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in staffing and recruitment

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel. Review applications and resumes. Write and place job postings. Assist with interview process. Manage ATS system.
  • Review and update job descriptions.
  • Monitor market wage data. Complete salary surveys.
  • Prepare, deliver and evaluate the new hire orientation program.
  • Travel to colleges and universities for career fairs, classroom presentations, and relationship building.
  • Manage relationships and agreements with third party staffing and recruitment vendors. Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of said vendors.
  • Conduct compliance reporting, drug/alcohol testing and background checks as requested

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of legal issues across HR arena
  • Experience with HRIS or ATS software
  • Experience with compliance reporting
  • Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Possess strong people skills at all levels of the organization
  • Positive, public relations ability and the ability to interact with diverse personalities
  • Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written, listening and presentation
  • Experience with budgeting general support services
  • Must be a self-starter/independent worker with the ability to manage many projects at one time with proven ability to lead projects from planning phase through completion
  • The ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices
  • Ability to work within a team atmosphere and be accountable for your work
  • Knowledge and experience with MS Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR/SPHR Certification
  • Experience within a technical industry
  • Experience within a professional services firm
  • Experience with Affirmative Action plans

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and your own transportation. Regional travel is required.
