We have an exciting new opportunity for a Civil Project Engineer to join our Rochester Office. This position offers the opportunity for you to join a well established firm with a long history of superior service.
This Civil Project Engineer, working with a team of Engineers, Planners, and Technicians, is responsible for performing and coordinating the design and preparation of construction documents for a variety of municipal projects, along with construction administration and observation responsibilities. Duties include preparing engineering reports, designing, preparing plans, specification writing, field engineering services and construction administration. The focus of this position is on our municipal market.
Must possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering knowledge to a variety of projects. In addition, must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff.
The selected candidates will have a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college and be licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota. A minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in the civil engineering field is required. This experience must include municipal infrastructure; experience in plan development and construction contract administration; proven ability to lead the design and preparation of construction documents for projects; and project delivery experience working directly with municipal clients. Other preferred skills include AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency, knowledge of MnDOT requirements, MnDOT Certifications applicable to field activities, and public contact experience.
