NEWLY ADDED POSITION!  Our growing firm has an opportunity for a motivated engineer to join our Aviation Group as a Design Engineer.  As a Design Engineer you will be on a progressive learning track, performing airport engineering assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities in the aviation sector.

As an Aviation Services Design Engineer you will spend the majority of their time assisting project managers and project engineers in design and construction phase activities of municipal and regional airport projects. In Aviation Services you will assist with assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities in the aviation sector. You will assist with airport studies, project designs, preparation of plans and specifications, preparation of cost estimates, travel to work sites and other project locations, and perform detailed inspection and project documentation.

This applicant must possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering fundaments to a variety of aviation projects.  We are willing to train a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in airport engineering and the right skill set.

Education and Experience:

• The selected candidate will have an applicable Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of three (3) months of civil engineering design or construction experience.

Required Qualifications:    

• Education or on the job experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• General knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet strict deadlines
• Ability to work within a team atmosphere
• Must possess a valid driver’s license. Minimal regional travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pilot License/Experience
• Two (2) or more years of design and construction experience on airport projects
