With our continued growth, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Ramsey Office. This position offers the opportunity for you to join a well established firm with a long history of superior service.
This Project Engineer, working with a team of Engineers, Planners, and Technicians is responsible for project coordination including the planning, scheduling and performance of multiple engineering projects both in the field and in the office. Duties include preparation of design and construction documents, preparing plans, specification writing, staff training and construction oversight. The focus of this position is on our municipal market in northcentral and northwest Minnesota, and eastern North Dakota.
Must possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering knowledge to a variety of projects. In addition, must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, client contact engineers, peers and subordinates.
The selected candidates will have a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university and is a Licensed Professional Engineer. Four (4) years of progressive experience in the civil engineering field is required. This experience must include transportation and/or municipal infrastructure; experience in plan development and/or construction contract administration; ability to successfully lead projects; and project delivery experience working directly with municipal clients. Experience in training staff and performing general supervision is preferred. Other preferred skills include AutoCAD Civil 3D, knowledge of State DOT requirements and public contact experience.
