Our well established firm has a fantastic opportunity for a Graphic Design Intern to join our team. 

As an intern you will learn practical on-the-job experience. The Graphic Design Intern will be part of our company's marketing department and will participate in the design process from concept to completion. This is a great opportunity for a creative and motivated student to build a portfolio and gain hands-on work experience. Throughout the internship, you will work closely with our Graphic Design Specialists and be involved in a variety of challenging high profile projects with fast turn-around.

The applicant must possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply design concepts to a variety of mediums. The intern will assist all departments within Bolton & Menk with any creative or design needs, from initial concepts to final production. Print ad development, brochure design, large format graphic design and output, specialty item graphics, web site updates and all other marketing duties as assigned. 

The selected candidate will be enrolled in a Graphics Degree program or related field. This may be a 2-year or 4-year degree program. The student must possess advanced computer design software skills with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver on the Mac platform; familiarity with HTML and CSS; working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); good organizational skills and be a team player. Ability to lift 40 pounds is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Experience with video editing, motion graphics design, photography and/or web design a plus. 

Education and Experience:

• The selected candidate will be enrolled in a Graphic Design or Studio Art program from an accredited college or university
• On the job experience or coursework in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Dreamweaver on the Mac platform

Required Qualifications:    

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet strict deadlines
• Ability to work within a team atmosphere
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Must possess a valid driver’s license. Minimal travel may be required.

The internship will begin January 2014 and the student will work part time during normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

$10.00 per hour

All business related travel is reimbursed at the IRS mileage rate.

Relocation and housing are not provided.
