We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Project Engineer to join our Willmar Office.

This Civil Project Engineer, working with a team of Engineers, Planners, and Technicians, is responsible for performing and coordinating the design and preparation of construction documents for a variety of municipal projects, along with construction administration and observation responsibilities. 

The focus of this position is on our municipal market. Candidates must possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering knowledge to a variety of projects. In addition, must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff.

Duties include:

  • Preparing engineering reports
  • Designing and preparing plans
  • Specification writing
  • Field engineering services
  • Construction administration

Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college and be able to become a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota within one-year
  • A minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in the civil engineering field is required. This experience must include municipal infrastructure
  • Experience in plan development and construction contract administration
  • Proven ability to lead the design and preparation of construction documents for projects
  • Project delivery experience working directly with municipal clients

Preferred skills:

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency
  • Knowledge of MnDOT requirements
  • MnDOT Certifications applicable to field activities
  • Public contact experience
